General Add comments

Glaucoma – the loss of vision caused by increased pressure within the eye – affects about two in every 100 people over the age of 40 in the UK1, and although the damage is irreversible, early diagnosis is vital to keep damage to a minimum. With National Glaucoma Awareness Week fast approaching – 3-9 March 2008 – learn more about the health of your eyes with an eye test at Dollond & Aitchison.

Routine eye tests include a thorough assessment of the health of the eyes and can detect early changes due to glaucoma long before the person has any idea that their vision is affected.

If you are covering National Glaucoma Awareness Week and would like to speak to an expert about issues surrounding glaucoma or any other eye health related concerns such as diabetes, high blood pressure and age-related macular degeneration, D&A The Opticians Professional Services Director, Dr. Rob Hogan is available for interview.
