Our team returned to the UK on 20th February boosted by the fact that the ‘Improving eyecare in Ethiopia’ project will make a real difference to the local community in Addis Ababa and reflect the values, which are at the heart of D&A.

We aim to raise enough money by December 2008 to fund the project and instigate preliminary works on site in January 2009. We have fundraising weeks in our branches to raise money for our dedicated charities and we plan to raise the majority of the funds for the Optical Workshop project during October.
“Not only now will the spectacles you collect make a difference but there is a great potential for ALL colleagues to join in and share their Optical knowledge with team at Menelik”, Richard Rawlinson, Franchisee at Brownhills Branch & VAO Member.
The date for the fundraising week will be published nearer the time but you will be able to donate in branches and through our ‘Glasses MOT’ project.
